IAACP-Russia Interviews Artist Peace Ambassador

Moscow, Russia—A webinar with artist Olga Beketova, a member of the Eurasian Art Union, attracted 2,000 views.

Dmitry Samko, the leader of UPF-Moscow, interviewed the artist, a UPF Ambassador for Peace based in the city of Samara, whose works can be found in private collections in Russia and abroad.

The webinar on March 30, 2023, was part of the development in Russia of UPF’s International Association of Arts and Culture for Peace (IAACP).

During the broadcast, the artist spoke about her active artistic work, charity programs, and social art projects in Samara.

The main topic of the discussion was her participation in the ninth Art Ankara Contemporary Art Fair. As Russian Ambassador to Turkey Aleksey Yerkhov rightly noted: “People always need art. It certainly helps to heal souls.”

At the end of the broadcast, Olga Beketova said what inspires her and gives her strength for creativity and activity: “I have a very large family, and I feel the main support in it! I bring positive emotions and feelings to the picture, and I believe that my work brings warmth. If someone helped, I myself feel better in my soul!”
